Tuition Rates & Policy

Tampa Guitar School / DNA Studios Tuition Policy. Please Read Completely!

Try us out for only 22.00! See if you love it! New Students Only. If you choose to continue lessons, each one is pro-rated at $22 each for the remaining lessons that month. After that, the monthly tuition applies as described below.

All instrument tuition is $89 per month for a 30 minute lesson once a week at the same day and time. Tuition for voice is $99 per month. Hour lessons (if available) are exactly double. This is a flat, monthly tuition price which covers one lesson per week (4-5 monthly). If you must cancel a lesson, we will offer you a make-up time (if available) which could mean two lessons in the same week, or a double lesson at your regular time. You must call a minimum of 48 hours prior to the lesson time for this option. If there is a holiday on which we're closed, or your instructor has to cancel on your lesson day(in a 4 week month), either a make-up lesson will be scheduled or the next month will receive a 1-LESSON credit on tuition fees.

*The bonus fifth lesson in a 5-week month cannot be credited or forwarded to the next month.

In order to reserve your lesson time and date on the instructor’s schedule, advance payment is required. Otherwise, the schedule becomes open to any student. No appointment time is held without a deposit. Teachers reserve a time-slot for each student who enrolls regardless of whether the student is absent, which is why all same day cancellations must be charged without exception.

To prevent schedule chaos, we allow one reschedule per month as a courtesy. Additional cancellations, for any reason, will be charged to reserve your lesson, instructor, and time slot. Otherwise, the schedule becomes open to any student.

In the event of illness: Advance notice MUST be given prior to the lesson time and day if possible. Simply bring in your doctor's note or a copy of the prescription for full credit.

Refunds: There is an 10% fee for all refunded tuition with the exception of death.

The safest and most convenient method of payment is automatic electronic payment with your debit or credit card. With state-of-the-art encryption it is 100% secure and very easy to set up on the "Auto Pay" link above. WE DO NOT STORE ACCOUNT INFORMATION HERE. For questions, email us: tgsmusic@gmail.com

Students who select auto-pay will:

  1. Save time - no more waiting in line to pay tuition every month!
  2. Secure the time slot - you never have to worry about reserving on the instructor's schedule if you happen to miss pre-payment on the last week of the month.
  3. Help everyone out - by saving us time with bookkeeping and collections we can dedicate even more toward providing the best instruction and educational materials!
*The discount does not apply to students who utilize the multi-family member pre-pay discount.

In the rare event that your instructor cannot be here for a weekly lesson, a qualified substitute will teach your lesson or a make-up time will be scheduled. If there is no make-up time, FULL lesson credit will be applied to next month's tuition.

Lessons could run approximately five minutes over or under. This is because your instructor wants to be sure that the student understands the material and weekly assignment and also wants to keep their daily schedule on time. When you arrive, if it's 5 minutes or more past your lesson start time, go knock on your teacher's door. If you are running late, but plan to keep your lesson, call right away. You may have to leave a message. As long as your lesson is pre-paid, the instructor will wait about ten minutes past your scheduled arrival time. The duration of your lesson will be the remainder of the time from when you arrive. It is a good idea to have your teacher's personal phone number in case of emergency.

We are not responsible for watching students who arrive early or remain past their lesson time. Please plan your schedule accordingly. Student's left here for more than 40 minutes after their lesson will get to clean the bathrooms or mop the floor. No cleaning is required if you bring in Krispy Kreme donuts or a pizza.

It is important to be consistent with lessons in order to make progress. A week with little or no practice means that the student should come in, get back on track and inspired with their teacher. Keep in mind that we have several different instructors and if you feel that a better match might be made with a different one, we take no offense. We want you to learn and improve!
